About TrailerSailerNSW

TrailerSailerNSW is a group to connect Trailer Sailer owners, crews and regattas. The objective is to get boats out of hiding and back on the water. It is only through the collective efforts of the group that we can revive NSW Trailer Sailer regatta’s to their former glory by nominating existing well organised regattas, at great venues, that we will attend knowing they are great fun, very social and underpinned by weaving a little sailing into the mix!

Each of us values different things about Trailer Sailers and the Trailer Sailer community. The common element we all have is Trailer Sailer's. Some love tinkering, others love socialising, some love racing, others love watching the world go by. The best thing about Trailer Sailers is that they bring crews together and whenever that happens the fun factor goes up considerably. When you get a fleet of Trailer Sailers together you know you are going to be in for an amazing and memorable adventure!  

How do we pick the events that will appeal to as many Trailer Sailer Crews as possible? Consensus suggests that the following attributes are desirable;
Good boat launching facilities and trailer parking 
A marina, pontoons, beach, bank, or protected waterway to keep boats in the same vicinity 
Affordable accommodation and/or ammenities nearby
A social, food and beverage venue near to the boats
Weekend events over a minimum of two days so that the travel and rigging effort is worthwhile
A scenic location with clear breeze, clear water and protected shores
Racing - one passage race and two course races with CBH and PHS handicapping
Cruising & Spectating - ability to sail, anchor or watch and stay connected with the fleet
